SRWC serves participants 18 years and over of both genders who are experience addiction and related problems, as well as affected family members. As outlined below some programs are gender specific. With the exception of our Family Education, (six weeks), Translating Anger Into Personal Power (12 weeks) and Treatment Readiness (six weeks 2x per week) all programs are based on the individual needs and goals of the participants. ACCESS SUPPORT PROGRAM (Co-Ed) Opportunity to attend 4 days- 2 hours per week - until they enter a program of their choice. For individuals who have made a decision to access a rehabilitation program of their choice, SRWC provides a supportive environment, individual and group support, information and skills to manage addiction related issues while they await either an assessment or place in a program, as well as advocacy support for their individual needs as well as referral to a self-help group of their choice. TREATMENT READINESS (Gender Specific) - Twice a week for six weeks) SRWC creates the opportunity for individuals to critically evaluate their substance or process addictions and the assist the individual in developing a recovery action plan and supporting them in their recovery journey as they make the decision to access a treatment program of their choice. CONTINUING RECOVERY PROGRAM (Gender Specific) Opportunity to attend 4 days per week for 2 hours per week for a year. (# of days per week depends on individual needs) SRWC provides a therapeutic environment to continue their recovery journey for those individuals completing a Rehabilitation Program, or Community Based program of recovery. SRWC also assists the individual to re-integrate back into their place of employment, educational institution and as well as their family and community and/or to engage in a volunteer program of their choice. RECOVERY MANAGEMENT (Gender Specific) Individual or Couples Counselling dependent on recovery needs of the individual. SRWC provides the opportunity for the individual after completing the Continuing Recovery Program to continue to receive support in their recovery journey based on individual need and recovery goals. ONGOING RECOVERY (Gender Specific) Individual or Couples Counselling depending on needs of the individual COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND INTEGRATION PROGRAM (CEIP) (Individual - based on individual needs as well as community outreach). FAMILY EDUCATION (six weeks once per week) AND SUPPORT PROGAM (ongoing) (Co-Ed) SRWC provides family members and significant others who have a loved one involved with an addiction problem or related issue who currently are a) not involved in a recovery program, b) who have completed a recovery program, or c) Currently involved in a recovery program, the opportunity to gain information regarding the dynamics of addiction as well as developing their own personal recovery/action plan. SRWC offers, individual and couples counselling as well as referral to the appropriate referral resources as appropriate.
